I love to exercise and summer is the perfect season to get my workout on without going to the gym. I have made a few modifications to my everyday routine so that I burn lots of calories and enjoy doing it. I rarely drive during the summer and it has become my personal goal to make a tank of gas last 3 or more weeks. This means all errands must be done by foot or bike. With three kids the task seems difficult but it's actually quite fun and by the end of the day my kids are ready for bed. I put my two smallest children age 3 and 2 in a jogging stroller and my oldest who is 5 rides her bike or her scooter everywhere we go. Needless to say I have the fastest kids in the neighborhood. I also love to ride my own bike and I have to give a big shout out to Jarred Madsen the inventor of my bike. I can fit more kids in this bike than I can in my car. The bike itself is called a Madsen and has two benches with seat belts that holds 4 kids and up to 400 lbs. I love love love this bike and so do my kids. Investing in this was probably one of the best things I ever did for my health and for building memories with my children. Riding my bike is much faster than footing it so when I am in a hurry this is my mode of transportation.
